There do seem to be many people out there that feel that walking holidays are for the older generations or for the younger people that simply want to explore but this is really not the case and walking holidays are there for everyone to enjoy simply because there is a location that everyone in the family would love to visit.
My kids really jumped at the chance at going on something like this and that is because most kids actually love the outdoors if you give them a chance to be out there. We had decided to jet off on one of those Costa Rica holidays really just because we thought we would have a change.
The great thing about a holiday like this one is that it will give the kids eyes a break from the usual screen looking and I have to say it also gave me a break from staring at the screen too. In my case I have to say that I am also a gamer and spend a lot of time in front of the screen and when I am not working in front of a computer I am sitting at home in front of one or at the very least in front of a screen.
Active holidays are really a good way to get away from the stresses of life and as soon as you are in the big outdoors you just know that you have done the correct thing in staying out there. You get to really see the wonders of life with me and my wife always getting up early in the mornings to see the sunrise together whilst the kids were still resting from the previous day of walking.
The kids already want to go back on a trip similar to this one which I am surprised about. I have secretly booked Disney World for them this year so they will have to wait.
