When the latest album from the Jonas Brothers hit the shelves, it was already one of the most talked about albums in the United States. The album, dubbed “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” debuted at number one on the Billboard Top 200, and the Jonas Brothers immediately set about preparing a national tour.

The brothers Nick, Joe and Kevin got their true big time start on the Disney Channel, and together they’ve broken the eight million sales mark worldwide for their first three albums. Lead vocals and rhythm guitar is provided by Nick, who’s voiced helped the group land their first record deal. Despite his youth, Nick has been performing since the age of 7. Nick has also been linked to Miley Cyrus in a very public on-again, off-again relationship.

Middle brother Joe, who shares lead vocals with Nick, had a high profile romance with Taylor Swift, and finds himself a tabloid fixture–when all he wanted to do was be a comedian. Some guys have all the luck. Kevin, the eldest Jonas, plays lead guitar and sings backup, and was chosen as one of People Magazine’s Sexiest Men Alive in 2008.

After originally signing to Columbia Records, the Jonas Brothers learned the music business, and the work it takes to success very quickly. Their debut album was woefully marketed and they made a quick decision to switch labels to secure better promotion. The self titled album then rose to a Top 5 ranking when they appeared on the Disney Channel’s Hannah Montana show.

From there, their star only ascended, with their third album, “A Little Bit Longer,” peaking at #1 in 2008. During their reign at the top, the Jonas Brothers also starred in their own Disney Channel reality show, titled “Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream.” It documented their concurrent tour, all while showing a more intimate side of the band, their friends and family.

“Camp Rock,” a Jonas Brothers-starring TV movie, also debuted with one of the highest ever TV movie viewer totals ever. Even the soundtrack to “Camp Rock” debuted in the top-5 on the Billboard Charts, and just when the summer of 2008 couldn’t look any better for the Brothers, they were featured on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, becoming the youngest band ever to have been honored so.

After the whirlwind of 208 died down, the band set about creating their next smash hit, touring in South America, and flying to Europe to appear in a handful of shows. After they took some time off, they release “Lines, Vines and Trying Times” and by the time they launched their 2009 tour to support it, the album had hit number one.

The first tour date kicked off in Dallas at the newly completed Cowboys Stadium in front of 50,000 fans. After the Dallas show, the brother head to Canada before winding back down the east coast of the U.S. They will continue to tour in the United States until fall, where they will jump back across the Atlantic and return to Europe.
