Have You Taken Your Kids On A Cruise?

Many teens and kids are always locked in their room after school to play on their computer games such as XBOX, WII and PS3. Many kids either play on computer games or are on the Internet or listen to music in their rooms. I haven’t really met a kid or a teen who would like to spend time with their family after school. Either it’s the kids who straight away go to the room or the parents are always asking them to do their homework first and from that they never come down other than to eat their dinner. When this happens it grows up them and they spend less and less time with their family on their days off from school and this means the relationship between the parents and the kids can be falling apart.

Recently I did a research in the school I teach asking the teenagers on what they would like to do on their days off. Shockingly they admitted they would love to go on cruises with their family other than visiting some of their relatives, which they can do over the weekend. I didn’t say it, its the kids who are saying it. Then I asked them where they would like to go? Many answered that they would like to go on royal Caribbean cruises and some said Holland American line cruises. It is surprising and I bet you never would have thought your teenager would say cruising. Kids these days are far more intelligent and demanding than when I was a kid.

So here is a suggestion for parents out there, take your kids on a cruising holiday. This way you can bring your family close together so don’t look at it as a holiday. Spending time with each other is a great way of bonding. Normally these trips also help you learn a lot about eachother which is why it’s great for families.
