Colorful Decors…Colorful Home…Colorful Life

There’s nothing wrong with neutral colors. In fact, they are the most usual and safest bets for a design motif. However, with the emergence of more vivid tones, neutral colors can appear quite bland next to brighter, livelier shades. Colors, bolder ones that is, may very well be the key to give more energy, vibrancy and excitement to your home interiors.

To save more money in redecorating, you can use things that you already have. Your children’s artworks for instance are not for their teacher’s eyes only. They’re for everybody to see! Frame them and hang them on the wall. Blow up and frame nice photos. If you have a favorite painting or sketch, then who cares if it costs under a hundred bucks? An artwork doesn’t have to be a thousand dollars to be considered an art, right? Infuse colors even in simple ways and see how the touch of brightness can affect the look of a room.

Accessories such as candles, drawings, colorful photos, vases, bowls, fabrics and personal items like notes, post-its, cards, etc. are instant color add-ons. A plain-looking room will be enhanced with some colorful items as decors, even without an overhaul of the furniture. Accenting a plain sofa with colorful throw pillows will make it look differentin a very eye-catching way. Brightly-colored pots and pans, hand towels and mitts in the kitchen will make this cooking space more lively.

Nobody said that you had to stick with a solid colored wall, so feel free to experiment with different styles and techniques. Painting an accent wall – a single wall with a big contrast against the rest of the room – creates an immediate focal point. Applying the paint with a sponge or a non-brush applicator gives an illusion of texture and depth to your walls, making them look even more interesting and dramatic.

Painting the walls a new color is of course an instant new do. A solid-colored wall however is not a strict rule. You can embellish with painting techniques like trimmings and murals for example or applying paint with a sponge can give the walls a unique look while adding hues at the same time.

Area rugs are not only pretty floor decors but they are also functional in that they protect the floor, helping you maintain a spic and span home. Choose a brightly-colored area rug. An option is to go for bigger prints or patterns.

Curtains can also add color. The choice in color, just like with an area rug can either create a formal, subdued atmosphere or a cheery, playful look. Whichever way the impression goes, curtains as with other fabrics can improve a room’s design.

Colors are easily accessible…everywhere. Depending on the mood you wish to convey, colors can do the job for you. Scented candles, towels, pillow covers, containers and such may seem like simple items but their colors can do a lot for upgrading a room.

Interior Decorators love to use rugs, to finish a room. This one in particular is proving popular; Dynamic Rugs Fantasia.
