Do you want your child to Stop Bedwetting? There are countless challenges when it comes to parenting, and countless parents face a similar challenge and goal of helping their child stop bedwetting.  There are as many theories as to why this is a problem for some children, as there are parents trying to deal with it.  So, take heart because you’re not alone. Not only do parents want their child to stop bedwetting, children also want to stop bedwetting.  It’s not a problem that lends itself to sleeping over friend’s houses or other overnight events, since if it happened when the child wasn’t at home, the embarrassment and more could be devastating.

It is wise to immediately consult your child’s pediatrician to discuss why your child is, and how to, stop bedwetting.  Medical causes should be ruled out first and, should there be a medical reason preventing your child from being able to stop bedwetting, then you can immediately treat it and move forward. Parents know that begging, pleading or punishing are not effective tools to stop bedwetting.  Usually, although not the answer most parents want to hear, children grow out of it and one day stop bedwetting.  That’s it – it’s over.
